This process must run before the process order release. The Manager production would run batch determination either at the time process order creation or at the time of post process order creation. System would determine the appropriate lot(s) on the basis of FEFO. These lots would be also mentioned in the pick list generated at time of the process order release.
Active Ingredient Management (Material Quantity Calculation)
System would automatically calculate the Active component quantities on
the basis of material quantity calculation formulae defined in the recipe. For
this purpose, potency of the active component would have to be defined as
characteristics for the batch. On the basis of potency factor defined, system
would calculate the active component quantity. System would pick up the potency
of the lot selected (based upon FEFO) and would update the active ingredient
usage quantity along with its excepient.
Process order Release
The release of the process order represents the end of process planning
and is the prerequisite for carrying out the business functions for process
order execution and process management. A process order must be released,
before it can be processed at the shop floor, once an order is released
materials required for manufacturing with this order can be issued. Release
triggers the following functions:
§
Batch numbers would be generated.
§
MYCOMPANY Shop floor papers (Pick list and BMR (MANUALLY) would be
printed.
§
Goods movements for the order can be executed.
§
Confirmations for the order can be executed.
§
An inspection lot for inspection during production would be created.
In SAP after an order is released the system generates reservations for
both capacity and materials, the capacities are booked on the resources and
materials that are available in the stock are reserved.
